Following a three-week break, Louis Foster will be back in action this weekend as the BRDC British F3 Championship makes its second of three visits to Donington Park.
The Copart-sponsored driver has enjoyed a successful season so far with his maiden victory coming at the series’ last trip to the Leicestershire circuit plus claiming double pole position at Oulton Park and two further podium finishes across the season so far.
After 11 races, Louis currently sits fourth in the championship standings with 179 points to his name. The Lord Wandsworth College pupil is also one of the best-performing rookies on the grid and is only 48 points behind the championship leader.
The Donington Park circuit is one of Louis’ most successful tracks – alongside his victory earlier in the season, he also took two front-row starts and climbed 10 positions in the reverse grid race. The 17-year-old is confident of another strong showing this weekend.
“After a short break, I’m excited to be back in the car this weekend,” Louis said. “Donington is a happy hunting ground for me with the win earlier in the season so I’m very happy we’ll visit here not just twice but three times! The car felt great here last time both in qualifying and the races so we should be set for a positive weekend all round.”
The action starts with qualifying at 10:50 on Saturday morning followed by the first race at 14:55 later in the afternoon. Continuing on Sunday, race two will take place at 10:35 with the final race of the weekend scheduled for 16:05.
