Louis Foster is gearing up for his return to Thruxton Circuit for the seventh round of the British Formula 4 Championship this weekend. Having enjoyed a podium-placed finish at the Hampshire circuit earlier this season, the 16-year-old is hoping to go one better this time around.
Currently sitting in third position in the Championship, just eight points behind second, the Copart-sponsored driver will be looking to add to his haul of three race wins and four podium finishes from the season so far.
After a very impressive start to the season, Louis heads to the UK’s fastest circuit looking to regain some ground on the Championship leader after the Lord Wandsworth College student struggled with issues in the previous two rounds.
Determined to show his true potential this weekend, Foster is ready to get back onto the track and fight it out at the front as he returns to his home circuit.
“After a challenging time last time out, it is always nice to get straight back out there and go again. The team and I have been working tirelessly over the last couple of weeks and we are looking forward to delivering a really positive performance this weekend.”
“As it is my home circuit, I always enjoy taking on the high-speed challenge that Thruxton presents. We gained a podium here earlier on in the season and the challenge now is for us to improve on our showing that weekend and be challenging at the front of the grid.”
This weekend’s action kick starts on Saturday with qualifying taking place at 9:00 on Saturday followed by Race 1 at 13.40 and Race 2 at 17.20. The third and final race of the weekend will be broadcast live on ITV4 at 13.45 on Sunday.
